Our client is a reputable 4 Star Hotel located in South Donegal. They are currently seeking to recruit a Restaurant Manager with Duty Manager Responsibilities to join their workforce. The Hotel has over 100 bedrooms. It is a very busy wedding hotel catering for over 100 weddings yearly and also has a very busy café bar and restaurant trade.
Main purpose of the Job:
To ensure the restaurant operates efficiently and effectively at all times and to conclude any other duties as directed to you by the Hotel Manager.
The ideal candidate will:
•Ensure presentation of the restaurant and the hotel is of the highest standard at all times.
•Oversee and ensure the smooth running of the restaurant.
•Handle customer queries, requests and complaints according to the hotels procedures.
•Train staff to the highest standard.
•Ensure a good working environment exists within the restaurant and hotel.
•Communicate the required operating standards to all staff members and ensure they understand and implement such standards at all times.
•To ensure the highest standard of customer service is provided to all customers.
•Have in-depth knowledge of all Health & Safety regulations and how they relate to the hotel.
•To conduct any other duties as directed by Hotel Manager.
The ideal candidate will have excellent substantial management and organisational skills coming from a similar role ideally in a 4-star hotel setting or above. This is an excellent opportunity for a hardworking candidate who has a genuine passion for hospitality management.
You should have an excellent knowledge of restaurant and bars and be able to work closely with the chef in designing menus and implementing new ideas.
You should have a good knowledge of front office procedures, helping out in this area when required to do so.
You should have some experience in running functions and events.
