Can you commit to 3 hours a week? (Monday- Friday) Want to gain new skills and experiences whilst volunteering in a fast paced, dynamic role? Want to work in part of a team whilst helping others? If so, then the new response volunteer role is for you.

Our volunteers are an invaluable part of the hospital team. Working with us in a volunteering role means you're playing a part in delivering the best possible care to our patients and their families, whether you're providing administration support or working alongside our ward teams.

What might I be doing as a response volunteer?

  • Transport patients in a wheelchair between wards
  • Assist with patient feeding
  • Collect medication from the onsite pharmacy and deliver to a ward
  • Provide basic administrative support
  • Transporting samples to labs
  • Sit and talk with patients
  • Assist with changing beds

Full training will be provided for all of the above roles. So if you are looking to expand your skill base, gain valuable experience for your CV, or enjoy helping out in a varied role, then this is the opportunity for you.

Parking expenses / travel expenses will be reimbursed.

Times Available:-

Regular commitment of a minimum of 3 hours a week, Monday – Friday, 9:30am – 12:30pm / 1:00pm – 4:00pm.
