Your new company
Your new company offers a range of Connected Care and Connected Health solutions across each of its main regions - UK, Nordics, Europe, North America and Asia-Pacific, operating 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The response arm of the business provides a monitoring and emergency service via a bespoke computer system, ensuring fast access to essential information. Using this information a decision will be made on the appropriate action to be taken. Although most of the clients are elderly, infirm or disabled residents, there is an increasing trend to provide support for domestic violence schemes, illnesses such as dementia and out of hours property repair calls.

Your new role
Your new role will entail answering and responding to calls via the telephone, providing a service to local and police authorities, housing associations and individuals. The level of service provided to an organisation can vary from full support, out of normal office hours support or disaster recovery. Additionally the response centre manages social alarm calls as well as out of hours calls for emergency property/utility repairs for various housing associated tenants. The shifts are 5 out of 7 days and this may include weekends with prior warning between the hours of 10:30am and 7pm.

What you'll need to succeed
Ideally, you will have previous experience within a similar call centre environment, particularly dealing with difficult, challenging or emergency situations. Communication is key to the success of this role which includes a calm, sympathetic and decisive approach. You should be an efficient and flexible individual with the ability to adapt to changing situations, environments and tasks as well as most importantly people and personalities. IT skills are an absolute must to this position - candidates must be IT literate as well as proficient adapting to software and systems. This role offers unusual hours of work, you should be able to commit to work the hours/shift patterns given to you. This may include weekends and public/bank holidays.
