Job Overview

Responsible for setting up and developing best practice in-house recruitment services, with the focus on developing capability, processes and service levels in managerial & specialist hiring across corporate and operational functions.

The role will encompass vacancy management and delivery management, alongside leading on specific improvement projects within the Talent Acquisition team.

Principal accountabilities

  • Deliver an exceptional hiring experience and results against KPI’s by using a variety of project management, relationship management, and recruitment and assessment techniques
  • Manage the complete recruitment process to ensure an excellent candidate and stakeholder experience, upholding the brand values of Heathrow as an employer of choice
  • Stakeholder engagement and project management responsibility; delivering recruitment change projects in collaboration with multiple internal stakeholders and managing the service provided by third party suppliers against SLAs
  • Partner with the business and external vendors on the right cost effective attraction and assessment methodology both
    internally and externally
  • Work closely with planning and training teams to create medium to long-term recruitment strategies and developing any associated business cases and budgets
  • Developing and sharing insightful reporting to demonstrate progress against targets and measuring ROI and performance against KPI’s
  • Strong knowledge of right to work and referencing requirements; keeping safety as a key focus
  • Involvement in evolving Heathrow’s EVP and keeping career sites internally and externally relevant, accessible and attractive
  • Continuous improvement of assessment approaches for specialist and volume hiring
  • Represent Heathrow and act as a brand ambassador at recruitment fairs, building strong relationships with external bodies to embed knowledge of Heathrow’s EVP
  • Support the broader Talent & Development team across a number of additional projects as necessary

Qualifications and Experience

  • Previous in-house experience as a senior recruiter, leading specialist recruitment activity, alongside a solid understanding of best practice in-house recruitment
  • Strong internal and external stakeholder management and influencing skills are essential to ensure the success of change
  • Already working at Senior Recruiter/Recruitment Manager level
  • Recruitment process development
  • Coaching and mentoring team members
  • Strong understanding of recruitment metrics
  • Direct sourcing capability for specialist role
  • Experienced in a variety of attraction strategies
  • Partnering with a variety of talent and resourcing suppliers
  • Competency based interviewing
  • Assessment centre design and execution
  • Knowledge of talent management and succession planning practices
