The service we are recruiting for specialises in high quality residential and educational provisions for children between 7-19 who may have EMSH and /or Autism. The safeguarding and wellbeing of the young people who may have experienced challenges in their lives is always paramount; along with encouragement to achieve their potential.
The service is a new home in the Tavistock area with an expected opening date of October 2017. We are looking for enthusiastic staff willing to work night shifts as part of a team in this new service.
We will ensure that you have competent training, mentoring and supervision to provide you with a chosen career path within social care which will be recognised with an attractive pay progression.
As a Night Support Worker you will be a key member of the team, providing high standards of person-centred support and care to service users. Both personal care and ability to settle our young people are key tasks for the role; so energy and initiative is vital along with the ability to be pro-active and calm under pressure
Candidates must have excellent communication skills and be flexible and resilience to respond to the changing needs of those who are supported
Candidates must have either a Level 3 Diplomas in Children or Young People's Workforce or willingness to undertake this qualification within a robust timescale with minimal supervision
