Residential Care Workers - Learning Disability

169 hours per month plus sleep in's as required

From £9:20 per hour with the opportunity to gain a recognised qualificaiton

Do you have a passion for working with children and young people with a learning disability/autism/complex needs and/or behaviours? Do you want to develop an in-depth knowledge and understanding of behaviours and advanced insight into working with Autism in all its forms?

These roles will offer you the opportunity to build long term positive, caring and supportive relationships with the young people, ranging in age from 8 to 18, in preparation for when they transition to adult care. Through the meeting of individual needs, including sensory, aiming to manage problematic behaviours and replacing with those which are more acceptable to the family and the community. Teaching coping skills, positive experiences, opportunities to develop interests and independence skills to the level of each individual’s ability. Learning to live in a shared environment to support preparation for the future.
