A permanent post for an experienced children's residential support worker

Your new role
You will be responsible for supporting young people in their daily lives through
- Assisting them to develop and maintain a high standard of personal hygiene
- Reporting to managers any concerns regarding the young people's welfare
- Actively encouraging and supporting leisure activities inside and outside the home
- Supporting young people with personal care if required
- Adhering to all safeguarding requirements and any procedures aimed at the protection of children
You will be able to work on a shift/rota basis including evenings, weekends and sleepovers and must be able to demonstrate the necessary skills and qualities for such a role working with the mainly male young people in this home.
What you'll need to succeed
It is desirable that you will have a NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People's workforce or equivalent.
You will be able to demonstrate a proven track record of working with children and young people (mainly male) with learning difficulties and be committed to equal opportunities and anti-discriminatory practice.
You will also have a full clean UK driving licence.
