We are currently recruiting dynamic residential support workers to work night shifts on an ad hoc basis within a care home in Stockport. Are you positive and committed to helping the personal development of young people? If so this could be the perfect role for you!

About the Role:
In this Residential Support Worker role, you will be required to work waking night shifts within a care setting. This support worker role is ideal for someone who has a good understanding of safeguarding requirements and is focused on the welfare of children. You will be supporting vulnerable young people with social emotional behavioural difficulties (SEBD) in the care home with a range activities. To be successful you will need, excellent behaviour management and a positive and flexible approach. Experience working in a similar setting is essential.

About the school:
This residential care home in Stockport caters for young people aged 8 to 18 years who have a range of social emotional behavioural difficulties (SEBD), many have experienced trauma or troubles in their lives and often display challenging behaviour due to this. The supportive staff team encourage all young people to engage in a variety of physical and nurturing activities in a structured environment. The home is based on a beautiful site with excellent facilities including a gym and pool and access to a farm.

To be considered for this role, you will need to:
*Experience supporting young people within a care setting
*NVQ level 3 in Childcare is beneficial
*The flexibility to work various shifts
*A calm and compassionate attitude
*The ability to work in a team
*Team teach or similar de-escalation training is beneficial
*Full UK driver's license is an advantage
