Your day to day roles and responsibilities will include:
Checking residents’ needs and progress
Providing one-to-one counselling or group therapy sessions
Teaching daily living skills like budgeting, shopping and claiming benefits
Providing leisure and creative activities in a safe and supportive setting
Helping residents to deal with problems and become independent
Talking with residents' families and arranging family and home visits
You'll also be expected to keep accurate records and write reports. These may be used in case reviews and future care plans.

To apply, you need at least 6 months of experience within a care and support role in a residential children's home setting.
Due to the nature of the role, we require a full 5 past year work referencing, with at least 2 care and support references within this time frame. We will also need to submit all successful applicants to a DBS check, at a cost of £44 (refunded after completion of 100 hours of work). You will also have to attend a mandatory 1 day training course at the REED Sheffield office, and complete some online i-learns.
