Theh home is in the village of Haswell, County Durham. The Metro Centre is a 35-minute drive from the home and is popular with our young people when they want to go shopping.
The home can house a maximum of three young people of either gender; this will be subject the homes manager considering the match of the young people through an impact risk assessment.
Must be over 21 or over
Level 3 Health and Social Care preferred but not essential
Experience working with young people would be advantageous.
No day is the same but you will:-
- Provide support and care to each individual
- Provide encouragement when getting ready for education
- Travel with the residents (Use of Company Car)
- Complete care planning
- Complete Task Sheets
- Complete Meal Preparation
- Organise and facilitate social activities
- Maintain the home (cleaning, laundry and shopping etc.)
- Maintain home management
- Liaise with external stakeholders and our own multi-disciplinary team
Inexperienced staff = £7.65 p/h
Post probation = £7.80 p/h
Qualified = £8.30 p/h
Sleep In rate £20.00 (subject to review)

- This is an example of a 2-week Rota and will not be the actual Rota given to yourself. All staff have different Rota’s.
- You will be given your rota weeks in advance according to the service as the young people may have medicals or school meetings to attend.
