Dove Resourcing is working alongside an independent provider of high quality residential and community based care for children and young people. We are helping them recruit for a Residential Childcare Worker to join their home based in Stoke.
The company I’m working alongside deliver highly individualized care packages to young people from a range of backgrounds and from across the British Isles, within their specialist small group and solo children’s homes. They have specialist integrated therapeutic services and high staffing ratios, we provide exceptional care and can offer a range of specialist placement options which can be tailored to meet the needs of each individual placed with us.
Our client promotes positive child and youth development, offering quality specialist independent planned and emergency social care, to local authorities from across the country. Their services include; short, medium and long term residential care packages, support and supervision for children and young people aged 8 to 18 and supported accommodation for young people aged between 16 and 25.
In the role of Residential Support Worker your duties are:
- Provide appropriate boundaries to young people who may need assistance in controlling their behavior.
- You must be able to produce detailed reports to situations/incidents that warrant such.
- To know and understand each young person’s education plan, an overall understanding of education.
- Liaison with relatives, significant others and other agencies with due regard to confidentiality and data-protection.
- Undertaking link-worker responsibilities for identified young people. Advocating for, and representing them, as necessary.
All applicants MUST demonstrate a real passion for children and be committed to the demands of the residential sector. In this particular role Level 3 in Children’s and Young People’s workforce or equivalent qualifications is desirable. However, they may look at candidates who are working towards their Level 3.
You would need to be committed to working on a 2 on 4 off shift pattern or 2 on 3 off shift pattern, all shifts would include a sleep in.
All applicants must be able to drive - this is a permanent job opportunity with the successful applicants being subject to DBS and referencing checks.
Salary is between £21,000-£24,000 dependent on experience and shift pattern.
