Working with people with learning disabilities and dual disabilities, and having a knowledge of working with people with Autism, Dementia, and challenging behaviour. Being able to communicate with people with autism and be able to de-esculate situations around behaviour.
Candidates need to be proactive in work and thinking, and use initiative. Excellent report and recording skills are required. Working with policies such as whistle blowing, safeguarding etc.
Relating to parents and carers and other organisations professionally. Cleaning and cooking skills required. Cleaning is of a high standard and measured in audits internally and externally. Working in a group and alone, being a positive team player, and being positive in the home and showing dignity and compassion in what we do and how we treat each other.
