This is a Complexed residential home of 3 beds which is currently full at this moment. The Home is a mixed gender home for children aged 8-18years these children have unfortunately been victims of trauma and abuse, we provide the support and guidance these children need to better there life’s
Location
The home is 5 miles from Peterborough City Town Centre and Kings Lynn City Centre which provide a more extensive range of both sporting and leisure facilities as well as major shopping complex’s also where young people can access museums, go karting, dance schools and religious worship facilities.
Salary & Benefits
The home provide shadow shifts working alongside an experienced member of staff, this helps Residential care workers build relationships within the home and find their strengths and weaknesses. The manager also holds regular appraisals with staff to monitor their development and performance
The home also provides full funding for NVQ3 in Children and young people to progress within their career
The home employs a full clinical team overseen by a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Lead.
Structure
1 Home manager 1 Deputy, 2 Team leaders and 6 residential care workers-Bank welcome
Starting £8.00
Post probation £8.15
Qualified £8.65-With NVQ3 In children and young people
Sleeps: £30.00p
Example of shifts
The home do work Long hour shifts of 16 hours for the stability of these children
7.30am-11.30pm 2 full weekend off and two split weekends additional sleeps are attached to your shifts
All shifts are shared out equally between the team
Requirements:
Must be 21 years old or above
Hold a drivers licence
Experience within Care
Types of skills required and duties to accept
These can be varied but they are all centred on the young people and it can include;

- Attending to practical matters in relation to childcare (cooking, cleaning etc)
- Establishing positive relationships with young people and always offering them unconditional and positive regard
- Meeting the physical, emotional, behavioral, cultural and educational needs of young people
- Acting as a role model and demonstrating appropriate pro-social ways of dealing with problems
- Helping young people gain self-control by challenging unacceptable behavior and rewarding acceptable, pro-social conduct.
- Ensuring that each young person’s care plan is followed and amended as appropriate to reflect their changing needs

Requirements for DBS and reference checking will be undertaken in line with government regulations and safer recruitment best practice.
