Residential care workers to provide support and guidance to younger Females
Do you have the empathy, compassion, resilience and positive parenting skills required to help support young people and change their lives for the better
Here, you’ll join a supporting driven team, helping and guiding young females who have unfortunately been victims of sexual trauma or abuse. It’s emotionally and physically challenging yet highly rewarding work where the duties you carry out have life-changing results
You must be over 21 years of age and hold a full UK driving license
This is a therapeutically enabling residential home for up to four young people of female gender, aged between 11- 17.Our specialist residential care services for children, who have experienced sexual exploitation, aim at reducing risk factors through personalised therapies and education, designed to build resilience, promotion of well-being and coping mechanisms to prevent future abuse.
The home is a short and simple 15-minute drive from the centre of Bedford set on a farm with great green views, this makes the home very homely and warm, there is also access to many shops, restaurants, educational, sports and leisure facilities near by
Salary & Benefits
We offer the full funding package for you to progress within the role for the future completing a NVQ3 in children and young people, we provide excellent training before you start and will be supported and welcomed by the team working five shifts shadowing a experienced RCW or Team Leader, this will give you a great life working with the Cambian Group
Starting £8.15
Post probation £8.65
Qualified £9.00
Sleeps: £26.36p
Example of shifts
7.30am-11.00pm two days on four days off -11 shifts per month with additional sleeps
Hold a valid driving license
Must be 21 years old or above
Types of skills required and duties to accept
These can be varied but they are all centred on the young people and it can include;

- Providing encouragement and prompting in day to day duties
- Care plans and documentation completed and updated
- Transportation (Use of Company car)
- Meal planning
- Organising social activities (Trips out)
- Maintaining the home (cleaning, laundry and shopping etc)
- To be flexible
- Approachable
- Hands on professional role model
- Good communication and listening skills
- Adaptable and able to read situation and help our young people make positive choices
- Support the staff and children within your care
- Effective leadership skills
- Resilience and passion to make a difference

Requirements for DBS and reference checking will be undertaken in line with government regulations and safer recruitment best practice.
