Salary £10.00 per hour
Our client is a family run not-for-profit organisation whose sole purpose is 'to provide residential and supported accommodation services for homeless people or people with little or no housing choice’. They employ a committed workforce of over 100 members of staff, who provide a broad range of residential and social care services designed to meet the diverse needs of over 300 vulnerable men, women, children and young people across Merseyside.
They have had a Resettlement Worker position arise within their Adult Services; with the successful candidate being able to promote the integration, temporary settlement and future resettlement of all residents within the service.
Assisting all residents in overcoming barriers and providing information to service users in a variety of formats (verbal, written, leaflets and various information booklets), you will oversee the safety and security of the building, staff and residents and complete health and safety checks including risk assessments and incident reports.
The successful candidate will have an in-depth understanding of the complex issues faced by service users such as homelessness, harm reduction, drug and alcohol dependency, domestic violence and mental health, and how each issue can be managed with a view to supporting them through crisis and periods of change.
With experience of working with vulnerable individuals, particularly where they have experienced a risk of homelessness, you will be able to assess the needs of vulnerable adults, work collaboratively with other agencies and have experience of case work and support planning, risk assessments and key work.
Working (avg. 35 hours per week) on a fortnightly rota between the hours of 7:30am to 10:00pm (including weekend work)
