Researcher - Banking - Haddenham, Buckinghamshire

Salary Circa £20k to £23k (depending on skills and experience)

Commutable from Thame, Aylesbury, High Wycombe, Tring, Bicester, Abingdon, Oxford, Milton Keynes etc.

Our client is an independent researcher of financial products. They employ around 120 people at their office in Haddenham, near Aylesbury, in Buckinghamshire and are a great place to work - with high levels of employee satisfaction and wellbeing - plus some great reviews on Glassdoor!

The data collected and managed by their Banking research team is used by some of the largest names in the industry to provide:

• Instant and unbiased market and competitor intelligence for providers of banking products;

• Product ratings for them to use in their marketing messages; and

• Product feature data for comparison websites.

They currently have an opportunity available to join their team of specialist Researchers - covering current accounts, savings accounts, business accounts, credit cards, and all types of mortgages and loans.

The role primarily involves:

• Researching banking product information using the Internet, industry press, and documentation from product providers;

• Updating the database with any new information; and

• Building effective relationships with product providers to facilitate the acquisition of accurate and up-to-date information.

They are looking for someone with significant previous experience within UK retail banking (probably as a Personal Banker), a detailed knowledge of the full range of banking products and up to date understanding of the current banking market.

To be successful in the role, you`ll need to combine strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to interpret information and to think analytically. You`ll also need to be a proactive team player with an inquisitive, methodical approach to your work. A keen eye for detail and accurate data entry skills are both critical, together with strong Excel skills.
