Naynesh Mistry is currently recruiting for a Research project Manager to work within the Diagnostics division of a global contract development and manufacturing organisation based in Northern Ireland, on a full time, permanent basis. ESSENTIAL for the role is proven Project Management experience and expertise within Molecular Sciences/ molecular oncology.

This client is an established contract development and manufacturing organisation that provides an extensive range of integrated services to over 600 companies globally within the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors.

Main role:
To manage a program of biomarker and companion diagnostic projects. The successful candidate will utilise their knowledge and experience of basic/applied medical science and diagnostic development to deliver projects on time.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the planning, design, conduct and close out of individual diagnostic development projects relating to biomarker development.
- Work closely with pharma industry customers to understand individual diagnostic test requirements
- Have a substantial understanding of the biomarker/companion diagnostic development process

QUALIFICATIONS/ SKILLS:
ESSENTIAL:
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent level qualification) in a Life Sciences subject. (PhD in Life Science DESIRABLE).
- Experience of molecular science and its application to diagnosis and treatment of disease, in particular in relation to biomarkers.
- Proven Project Management experience
- Experience within a role requiring ability to organise, plan and prioritise tasks (and project teams)
- Experience within a role requiring effective communication skills (written, oral and presentational)
- KEY SKILL: A knowledge of the life sciences, molecular oncology and diagnostics industry
