There are up to 91.5hours available on this ward offering the opportunity to be part of a growing, vibrant team, providing effective health care to the people of north Cumbria and working to bring about dynamic change in the way patients requiring health care are managed in north Cumbria.

The post will principally be based at the Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle, but with the need to cover cross site as and when service need dictates.

Applications are invited for the above post in the Haemodialysis Unit at the Cumberland Infirmary. The unit consists of 14 dialysis stations for patients with varying needs.Experience is not required, as we provide a full training package including supernumary status during training.

You will be an enthusiastic Registered Nurse who will assess, plan, deliver and evaluate nursing care of patients requiring haemodialysis. You will also contribute to the renal service through the acceptance of agreed additional responsibilities. You must be prepared to work flexibly within the Unit participating in the on call rota on a Sunday.

The Trust will provide a twelve month preceptorship period for all newly registered healthcare professionals.

The cost of the DBS must be met by the successful candidate(s) through salary deduction. DBS charges are as follows if applicable to the post:

Standard Check: £26 + Administration cost of £4.20 = deducted at £10.20 from 1st month salary and £10 deducted from salary over following 2 months.

Enhanced Check: £44 + administration cost of £4.20 = £15.20 deducted from 1st month salary and £11 deducted from salary over following 3 months.
