We are looking for compassionate, keen and caring individuals to join our team of Relief Support Workers to support a number of individuals in Witham!
As a Support Worker with Mencap you will find that the people that we support are very different and you will quickly discover that each of the people that we support are individuals with an entirely different set of great qualities, interests and passions.
No experience? No problem! We really want to hear from people that want to make a difference and are looking for a rewarding field of work. We can provide you with award winning training to prepare you for your role (And you are paid for the time that you are being inducted and trained!).
The Support that you provide will be tailored to the needs and preferences of the individual and you will need to be really creative in how you approach this fantastically rewarding, and sometimes challenging role.
Some of the areas that you might be providing support with include: supporting with community access, travel training, budgeting, encouraging a healthy and active lifestyle, relationships and friendships, cooking, supporting with bills and benefits, medical appointments and other daily living skills.

The role ( Relief Support Worker - Witham)
As a Relief Support WorkerYou will work on a rota basis throughout the week and at weekends including bank holidays. Although, the great thing about being on a Relief contract is that you can work flexibly to suit you!
Typical day shifts could start from 07:00 am and evening shifts from 04:00 pm. Waking nights could start from 09:00 pm and sleep ins from 10:00 pm.
We do also have night work available if this is something that you would be interested in.
Please note that these start times will vary, and are not limited to those stated above.
