We are looking for a positive, compassionate and caring Support Worker to join our Plymouth service on a Relief basis where we support 10 people in a Supported living environment with a learning disability.
The people that we support in this service LOVE pets and they have two cats, tropical fish and an outdoor fishpond! Read on for more about this opportunity
Each person that we support is an individual and they have a range of activities that they enjoy to do with support and encouragement. You might find yourself engaging in some arts and crafts or perhaps you're a culinary wizard? you would do well in our cookery sessions. Other activities might include swimming and going to the cinema!
Supporting with daily living tasks, finances and managing their tenancy will be a large part of your role, but that's not all. Being a Support Worker means that you also get to create some fantastic memories and take part in the fun!
An important thing to be aware of is that personal care is required in this service - it's important that you are comfortable with this.

As a relief support worker you have the benefit of working shifts to suit you however flexibility is required for the service, as you may be required to work a variety of different shifts throughout the week, including mornings (ideal for you early risers!), evenings and sleep-ins (Payment for sleep ins is competitive and compliant with National Living Wage requirements).
