Servest are recruiting for a Relief Chef Manager to support covering sickness, holiday and training across our colleague rooms within Tesco stores- This role is to support the onsite managers and operational team that are heading up the account- working across a range of around 14 sites around the North of England. Scottish Boarders and Dumfries areas

As a Relief Chef Manager you will be assisting with the recruiting and training of new staff, covering units when the manager is off, or assisting the manager that is in place. You will be doing the job of a Chef Manager- covering cooking to finances, ordering to client meetings, staff training to audits the position is varied across the sites. You will be required to managing the teams of front and back of house staff as well as cooking on a daily basis and making sure the unit runs smoothly.

The sites are open 7 days a week so flexibility will be needed with days and hours.

This role involves travelling across your area/portfolio of sites - we will provide you with a company vehicle and fuel card

You will report into the Area Manager and be part of the support network for the sites.

We are looking for Managers with the following-

A background within Business and Industry Catering as a Chef Manager

Experience in managing a team of at least 5 catering assistants

A background in a 7 day opening operational establishment would be advantageous

Quality cooking standards whilst being conscious of the set budgets

The ability to lead by example

A strong craft background

Superb customer service skills

Financial awareness with the ability to manage budgetary lines

Due to the nature of the role you will need a full UK driving licence- This role is not based at a fixed site so you must be prepared to travel within the area with locations maybe changing on a daily / weekly basis.
