We have an exciting opportunity for a two Reliability Engineers on a permanent basis.
This role will provide a point of contact for technical advice that supports the Engineering Team to deliver to the plan. This includes taking safe decisions to manage the Safety and Reliability of the fleets.
Central to this position is to establish the root cause of incidents that underpins improvements in reliability and safety performance of the fleets. In addition, lead technical, safety and incident investigations to ensure root cause is established with shared recommendations on the wider learning is published, including delay attribution on behalf of the Technical Support Manager and Engineering Technical Manager.
Generate proposals for engineering change arising from performance improvements, mandatory requirements and safety recommendations. You shall also monitor unit, sets and system performance and lead the scope of work, and return to service authorisation for repeat failures, to ensure prompt diagnosis while providing feedback on lessons learnt and changes to fault finding guides.
You will be required to investigate new and emerging technologies for system improvement or maintenance betterment.
What we are looking for:
You will have an Engineering qualification and have excellent interpersonal skills with the confidence to influence all internal stakeholders and external bodies. You should also have an understanding of the rail industry, of key business drivers from both an operational and commercial perspective and an understanding of OEM and RoSCo technical processes.
You should also have experience of managing OEMs/suppliers for improved technical performance.
