Reliability Engineer Contract

Our client, based in the East Manchester area, require a Reliability Engineer on a contract basis to start asap.

This is a 3-4 month contract and will be working within the manufacturing sector.

Salary is negotiable depending on experience but will upwards of £30,000 per annum.

You will be involved in improving efficiency throughout the manufacturing process looking at safety, quality, productivity, cost and delivery.

Key Skills/Experience Required:


*Professionally recognised to a minimum of C&G or NVQ3 in both a mechanical, electrical or maintenance engineering discipline.
*Competent in fault finding and diagnostic techniques.
*Food Industry experience.
*Food Hygiene Level 2 minimum.
*HACCP Awareness.
*COSHH Awareness.
*Manual Handling.
*Health and Safety Awareness.

Other Skills:

*Experience and evidence of successfully applying reliability tools and techniques within a FMCG business, or a willingness to learn.
*To be able to carry out running adjustments to machinery and equipment as required ensuring product is within quality and hygiene specifications at all times.
*The ability to complete product changeovers as and when required, to include Raw Materials, Packaging Materials, Machine Changeovers and set-up.
*Experienced in Safe operation of machinery and equipment.
*Knowledge of Continuous Improvement techniques and can demonstrate achievements.
*Flexible and adaptable with a positive attitude and winning mentality.
*Ability to be part of a small team of multi-disciplined engineering employees, as well as to actively be part of a wider manufacturing and distribution teams.
*Good communication skills.
*Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office.

*Competent in the relevant asset reliability tools and techniques.
*Competent knowledge and capability in the use, reporting and trend analysis of the companies CMMS system.
*Capable of delivering sustainable solutions.
