35 hours per week Full time Monday to Friday
As a Relay Driver working on behalf on the NHS, your day will typically start between 10:00 – 13:00 and finish between 18:00 – 21:00, but this may vary. Your day will consist of keeping to a scheduled route and meeting deadlines for delivery and collections. Whilst multi drop experience is an advantage it is not essential; we are looking for reliable, trustworthy staff who can deliver our customers promise. Your responsibilities mainly include collecting and delivering test kits from test sites and labs, but can also include parcels and tote boxes to small and large businesses in our portfolio. You will scan items on and off route to ensure tracking information is available to customers and colleagues. You must enjoy driving, even at peak hours and be able to lift and carry parcels weighing up to 30kg and be willing to work paid overtime including possible Saturday and Sunday overtime.
We are looking for positive team players who are willing and flexible enough to help colleagues ensure that all our customers get their items to their customers on time. You must enjoy customer interaction; have great communication/Interpersonal skills which will help us deliver our usual excellent customer service.
You will require the following:
- A full UK manual driving licence (in your current UK address), with no more than 6 penalty points is essential but ideally a clean licence is preferred, please note you will be required to show this at assessment.
- Your driving licence must cover vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes
We are looking to offer Fixed Term contracts for 6 months with the following benefits for the right candidates:
Salary - you will be paid weekly, increment at 12 months is subject to satisfactory performance and successful completion of a 6 month trial period.
£10.48 per hour, increasing to £11.65 after 12 months
Please note that you must be flexible to work Saturdays and Sundays, (the above rates do not include any overtime).
