Lusona Financial Services are working with a financial advice business in Edinburgh who have a strong track record of training and developing trainee financial advisers into fully fledged IFAs (Independent Financial Advisors). They have been successfully training people using a robust mentoring programme and allowing trainees to tap into their massive client base, meaning that trainees can develop without the added pressure of having to build a client bank from scratch.
As an employer, they have a network of offices throughout the UK which provide a broad range of commercial services including private client financial advice. Within this channel you will have a regular flow of referrals generated through professionally produced marketing literature. The enquiries will range from general protection through to complex advice areas such as pension and investment.
Depending on your level of experience you will start by servicing clients remotely in an office based role, and this will develop into a client facing position where you will go and meeting clients. As things progress the areas of advice will grow more diverse as you become more comfortable with the basics.
The employer is open minded regarding where they find people for the trainee roles, the essential thing they are looking to attract are professional, ethical and hardworking individuals that are keen to learn. You must have some experience working in financial services perhaps coming from paraplanning, bancassurance, telephone account management, broker sales, wealth management, relationship management and will have made progress through your professional qualifications.
Within the team there are differing bands of pay dependant on your level of experience starting around £20,000 and rising to well over £35,000 per annum. You will earn far beyond this through bonus and benefits with initial OTE of around £45,000 to £55,000.
