Do you want a job that makes a difference? We’re looking for rehabilitation Support Workers in and around the Colchester area of Essex. You would be helping people with Mental Illness and Learning disabilities through therapeutic support within a clinical environment.
This role is commutable from Ipswich (27 minutes), Braintree (33 minutes), Chelmsford (36 minutes), Clacton on Sea (28 minutes)
The team you’d be a part of Is always working toward helping the patients they care for to gain back their independence. You’d be working over 6 wards, getting to know the patients and their individual needs. You’d become familiar with their care plans, assist the clinic staff in making sure the patients are taking their medication, helping them with their personal hygiene, and encouraging their growth and development.
The support doesn’t finish once they no longer need the clinic. Part of your role as a support worker will be to visit and assist the patients once they’re in the community, so that they feel safe and respected. It’s a massive change, but there isn’t a greater reward then seeing someone gain their independence and take control of their life.

The right person for this role will need to have previous experience with people with mental illness or learning disabilities. You’ll need to be a compassionate, reliable, and patient worker; after all, care is a human thing. The role hours are:
- Full Time (42 hours a week)
- A mixture or early, late, and weekend shifts (Early is 8am- 8pm, late is 7.45pm to 8.15am)
