Regulatory, Public and Commercial Disputes Solicitor

Solicitor - Regulatory, Public and Commercial Disputes - Cambridge NQ+

My client is a Tier 1 Legal 500 firm who is looking to recruit a Regulatory, Public and Commercial Disputes Solicitor in to the expanding team based in their Cambridge office.

You would be working as part of a small team under the supervision of a Partner, and you will
be responsible for dealing with a wide range of regulatory law and healthcare work (these are often life and death matters and/or headline news either locally or nationally). The broad range of work will include complex issues covering:

* Police and Health and Safety investigations
o Accidents at work
o Asbestos exposure
o Legionella compliance
* Regulatory prosecutions:
o Health and Safety
o Environmental law
o Health and Social Care Act 2008
o Other
* CQC regulation
o Advising regulated providers in respect of challenges to inspection reports.
o Undertaking detailed commercial due diligence to support Corporate transactions
* Inquests
o NHS and Independent sector
* General regulatory advice
* Judicial Review
* Healthcare advice and litigation
o Court of protection

Essential requirements:

** You must be NQ+ years qualified solicitor.
** Good academics, i.e. 2:1 degree or equivalent and good A Level grades
** An appetite for undertaking Advocacy is essential.

Business Development

You will be expected to support the team in terms of the overall growth strategy including business
development activity such as:

* Building strong client relationships and supporting client partners to deliver and monitor outstanding client
service.

* Identifying target clients and pursing opportunities to interact with them, such as pitches and training.
* Attending networking events, both those developed internally and run externally.
* Contributing to the profile of the team through the writing of articles and blogs for both internal and external
publication.
