My client a US firm based in London is recruiting for a contentious regulatory lawyer, ideally of senior associate level.
They are looking at around 5 - 10 years pqe with a background in Financial Services and current regulatory experience dealing with a mix of contentious and non contentious regulatory experience.
The matters which you will work on will generally be of a very high value both financially and reputationally. They are often highly complex with a multi-jurisdictional element.
This firm offers the full range of regulatory, enforcement, litigation, transactional and policy capabilities in order to comprehensively address the myriad issues facing the sector around the world. Their lawyers in the Americas, Europe and Asia work with leading global financial institutions to provide thoughtful, creative, and practical solutions to their complex issues.
They help financial institutions structure and expand operations to take advantage of new opportunities, identify and shape emerging legislative and regulatory policies, and develop compliance and internal investigation strategies. We also manage relationships with financial regulators; assess legal, regulatory, enforcement, and reputation risks; and resolve complex legal, financial, operational and strategic issues.
This client is looking for experience as follows:
* Qualified lawyers with post-qualification experience at a leading law firm.
* Experience of disputes and investigations work in the financial services sector
* A team-player who can work effectively with colleagues at all levels
* Client facing experience and the ability to understand and respond effectively to client needs
* A commercial approach
* A previous secondment to a financial institution is desirable
