Role overview

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Regulatory Change Project Manager or experienced Business Analyst looking to move to a Project Manager position, to join our team in our Brentwood office. This role is responsible for providing the overall direction, coordination, execution and implementation of specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, procedures and governance. With a focus on Regulatory Change we are looking individuals that have experience in the FS sector, driving projects forward and brilliant communication skills.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and implementation of specified project(s) - specific preference will be given to Project managers who have recent solid Business Analysis experience too.
  • Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Define project tasks and resource requirements
  • Develop full scale project plans and being able to record these in Microsoft Project and Excel
  • Assemble and coordinate project staff
  • Manage project budget
  • Capture, monitor and escalate (where appropriate) project risks and issues
  • Track and report project deliverables using appropriate tools
  • Provide direction and support to project team
  • Assist, where required, with requirement capture, process mapping and data analysis
  • Quality assurance of the key project deliverables and artefacts
  • Assist, where required, with UAT preparation and execution
  • Monitor and report project progress via the appropriate governance channel(s)
  • Manage stakeholder communications and engagement
  • Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs
  • Complete project closure, assessment of results and handover to business as usual

The Individual


  • A qualification in project management or equivalent experience


  • Knowledge of project management techniques and tools
  • Direct delivery experience in project management capacity (3-5 years)
  • Direct work experience in Business Analyst capacity includes analytical skills in process mapping, requirement definition and test execution
  • Proven experience in stakeholder management
  • Proven experience in risk management
  • Proven experience of delivery in Compliance and/or Regulatory change activity

    Technical/Specialist Knowledge & Skills Technical
  • Proficient in project management software (MS Project)
  • Knowledge of the main System Development Lifecycles, e.g. Waterfall and/or Agile
  • Domain
  • Overall knowledge of the Retail and/or Commercial Banking sectors (essential)
  • Good understanding of standard Retail and Commercial Banking Products (desirable)
  • Good understanding of the project management of workflow design, development and implementation (desirable)
  • Adaptable & Flexible with "hands on" expectations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Enthusiastic "can do" attitude with a desire to provide resolution and drive for success
  • Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Establishes effective working relationships at all levels
  • Creativity skills to resolve problems and/or identify alternatives where established procedures may not exist
  • Methodical approach to work
