An opportunity to head up a new regulatory affairs department at a leading home and garden pest control business. The company is well established, has many well known high street brands and is expanding. This role will lead and develop the regulatory capability covering biocides, REACH and CLP / GHS. You will develop and implement regulatory strategy and provide expert regulatory input to product development.
Your key task will be to develop a strategy that successfully and commercially manages the company through the changing legislative and regulatory landscape including the BPR. This will involve maintaining regulatory compliance of the existing portfolio of across domestic and international markets, lead the continuous improvement and development of registered and chemical products, bring forward new market opportunities (private label developments) and explore alternatives to gain market advantage. You will work closely with internal teams eg marketing to ensure packaging and promotional material complies with relevant regulations, author, review, and issue Safety Data Sheets to internal colleagues, manage obligations with respect to Reach, CLP and risk assessments and
provide support for customer queries on chemical products and regulation.
Suitable candidates must have a proven track record of regulatory affairs with consumer products, ideally in pest control. Specific BPR experience is essential, knowledge of PT 18 and 19 would be ideal. This role will involve taking ownership of regulatory affairs for an international product range and ensuring the company remain compliant - you must have the experience, understanding and credibility to take on this challenge.
