What does the role entail?

We are currently looking to bring a talented Regulatory Advisor on board to join our dedicated and progressive team. The role will include working alongside the Senior Regulatory Manager to ensure the legal compliance of ingredients, products and labelling, minimising legal risks to Britvic's business and reputation and to best support commercial advantage for all brands.

With an awareness of differing national and international regulations, you will partner cross-functionally with key stakeholders in areas such as Marketing, Liquid Development, Quality Assurance, Technical and Legal and will also have the opportunity to support at external trade association meetings.

  • Provide guidance on EU legislative requirements to Britvic stakeholders, ensuring legal compliance of current products and shaping the development of new products.
  • Ensure product composition, labels and promotions for all relevant markets comply with the relevant regulations and company policy.
  • Provide regulatory support across the business to ensure the compliance of product communications including advertising, online and point of sale items.
  • Assist with the development of policies and guidelines and responses to new and changing legislation.
  • Represent Britvic's interests in the drafting of new legislation through industry associations as required.
  • Assess and advise on the impact of new EU legislation to ensure continuing compliance as a business.
  • Interact with regulatory authorities such as Trading Standards and Environmental Health

    Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:
  • Ability to interpret legislation in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to explain clearly to the business the application of legislation for commercial advantage in a compliant manner.
  • The ability to explain complex technical and legislative issues in a comprehensive manner so that they can be readily understood by non-technical/legal audiences.
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of EU food and other relevant related legislation.
  • Current or previous experience of being an active member of food industry trade associations/bodies.
  • An understanding of the composition of soft drinks and the technical purpose of the ingredients used in them would be beneficial, but not essential
  • Flexibility to travel as and when required to support implementation and monitoring of regulatory best practice.
