PERMANENT JOB - REGISTERED NURSE - ALTON - £20.00 per hour
We have a vacancy for a Registered Nurse (days) to join a large but beautiful home in Alton, Hampshire.
As a registered nurse, your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Acting as the Named Registered Nurse for a group of residents, and developing and updating person centred Care Plans for them;
Dispensing and administering medication in accordance with prescriptions;
Liaising with departmental heads to ensure residents maintenance, catering and housekeeping needs are accommodated;
Organising and supervising the work of the Care Team including induction of new members of the team;
Providing a comprehensive handover at shift change to ensure seamless care is provided.
To apply you need to live in or near Alton or happy to relocate to the area. You will be an experienced Registered Nurse who has a passion for excellent dementia care and can demonstrate professionalism and energy in the home.
You must be able to demonstrate:
- care, choice
- community and team values
- Has a valid NMC PIN and is conversant with the NMC Code
- Has previous experience of working with the elderly / dementia patients
- Is a competent computer user
- Is a good communicator, written and verbally
- Is able to manage and motivate the care team
