Registered Nurse

An opportunity has arisen within the Maryport and Cockermouth ICC for a fixed term 30 hours per week contract until 7th March 2021 for a qualified or newly qualifying registered nurse, to work within the community team to develop their knowledge and skills.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated nurse who can demonstrate kindness and respect in all aspects of their care. This post requires collaborative working to ensure a high quality, patient centred care is delivered.

The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate the ability to develop in a changing environment and have excellent communication skills. The successful applicant will be supported by the whole teams within the ICC and will be given the opportunity for further development.

The responsibilities of this role will be to deliver a diverse range of nursing care to patients in their own home environments and residential care settings.

The post consists of day, evening, weekend and some bank holiday working therefore a flexible approach is essential.

The Trust will provide a twelve month preceptorship period for all newly registered healthcare professionals.

Healthcare Professionals returning to practice, moving into new roles or changing clinical environments, may access an agreed preceptorship period.

The cost of the DBS must be met by the successful candidate(s) through salary deduction. DBS charges are as follows if applicable to the post:

Standard Check: £26 + Administration cost of £4.20 = deducted at £10.20 from 1st month salary and £10 deducted from salary over following 2 months.

Enhanced Check: £44 + administration cost of £4.20 = £15.20 deducted from 1st month salary and £11 deducted from salary over following 3 months.
