Lamport and Twywell are both 22 bedded sub-acute general medical wards. We cater for patients that are nearing or, who are medically fit and needing re-enablement and discharge planning. We want to add to our developing team and are looking to recruit a hardworking, dedicated, innovative and passionate Band 5. We would like to hear from Staff Nurses who would be interested in working within our current establishment.

The ideal candidate would have to be willing to work in a fast paced, sub-acute environment with a high turnover, and would have a passion for the prevention of deconditioning of patients in hospital. The successful candidate would be required to deliver quality care in line with the Trust care values. We as a unit will offer training specific to the needs of the ward, including competencies linked to general medical care and the Trust offers a lot of opportunity for our nurses to develop in all aspects of their practice through internal and external training, in order for care standards to be maintained and evidence based practices to be delivered. We work closely with the multidisciplinary team including physiotherapy, occupational therapy and discharge specialists.
