We are looking for a highly motivated and flexible individual to work in our Outpatient Department. Kettering OPD currently supports clinics for a wide range of KGHFT based specialties including, haematology, surgery and urology, respiratory, cardiac and general medicine as well as many other specialities including paediatric surgery and medicine.
We also facilitate Oncology clinics for visiting Consultants from Northampton General Hospital which you will be expected to support as well to liaise with staff from the supporting chemotherapy unit.
Relevant experience is an advantage but is not essential.
The various roles involve supporting patients during their consultation and liaising with the multidisciplinary team as needed. An aspect of this role also involves facilitating nurse led clinics in support of specific specialities and ensuring that the admin processes are compliant with the numerous patient pathways .
The post holder therefore must have exceptional communication skills and be able to adapt throughout the day to the various demands of the clinics.
Flexibility of working hours is essential due to the current and ever changing demands of the clinic schedules. There is a requirement for the successful post holder to work generically across other OPD sites to meet service need.
