This is a superb Registered Manager opportunity with an award-winning, dementia-specialist, 50-bed nursing home (applicants need not necessarily be nurses). The home is independently-owned and the role genuinely offers the best of both worlds - you'll enjoy real autonomy and decision-making responsibility, whilst also benefiting from top quality support, particularly in the areas of financial management and sales/marketing. This is an opportunity to manage a fabulous home, which was one of the first care homes in the country to adopt Specialised Early Care for Alzheimer's.
This is a well-supported and well-paid general management role, in a fabulous nursing home. The home was rated 'Good' at the last CQC inspection and there are no critical problems requiring attention. However, there are plenty of opportunities to improve certain aspects of the home's performance (such as reducing staff turnover and the use of agency staff) so the role offers genuine challenges and the owners are looking for a manager with a can-do attitude, who is willing to work collaboratively with them in the pursuit of excellence.
We are happy to consider both nurse and non-nurse applicants. The essential criteria are 3 years managerial experience, a can-do attitude, high standards and a willingness to strive to improve all aspects of the home's performance.
A competitive remuneration package in the region of £45-50K is on offer, dependent on your skills and experience.
Situated in Green Belt, the home has a wonderful outlook, enjoying unspoilt views of the surrounding countryside. The lawns and the sunken garden are beautifully maintained and there is a large patio area at the back where Residents and their guests can sit out and enjoy the views. Rooms are attractively decorated, furnished to the highest modern standards and comfortably exceed the national minimum size requirements.
