Registered Manager Organisation Summary Founded by a small group of family members and friends who wanted to change the way the people they cared about experienced living with a learning disability. They continue to work with the people they support, their families and friends to achieve the best possible outcome. Job Role Summary Accountable for ensuring that the organisation provides the highest quality of care for the people they support, seeking at all times to achieve and improve on the Care Inspectorate standards within the care at home and housing support service. The individual in this role will be expected to provide leadership and operational management of each of the services within the registered service, including responsibility for the delivery of all care and support, clinical, operational, financial and administrative functions. This role is part of the leadership team and the individual in this role will work closely with the rest of the leadership team of the organisation to ensure there is a consistent and transparent approach to achieving the aims and objectives of the organisation as a whole. Key Requirements Overview and not limited to: Motivational and inspirational leadership skills, for employees and teams. Effective employee engagement and development. Effective management of risk across all services with the registered service Ensure that structures, processes, systems and procedures are coordinated, effective and efficient in meeting business requirements to comply with contractual obligations. Work in conjunction with other Senior Staff Members and support functions including (HR, IT and Finance) Brief Overview of Key Responsibilities and not limited to: Ensure a healthy and safe environment for all employees and people supported in line with the legal requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974. Ensure that all projects within the registered service fully comply with organisational standards, policy and procedures as well as its statutory and contractual obligations, such as Care Inspectorate. Promote the aims of the organisation and registered service through corporate communications by conducting effective business development. Is fully accountable for the quality of the direct service provision. Specifications and Requirements: The Registered Manager will be expected to work a minimum of 39hours per week and organise working time in such a way as to maximise the efficiency of the registered service. In the exceptional event of an unforeseen emergency or shortage of staffing for any reason the Registered Manager will be expected to undertake overnight and weekend working to ensure the needs of the individuals within the registered service are met. The Registered Manager will ensure they maintain individual registration with the SSSC so that they are able to meet the legal requirements of working in the social care sector. The Registered Manager must at all times respect the confidentiality of information in line with the requirements of the Data Protection Act and the organisations Data Protection Policy. Act at all times in compliance with all legal and statutory requirements that apply and to follow fully the organisations policies and procedures in relation to all activity. This list of duties and responsibilities is not exhaustive, and the post holder may be required to undertake other relevant duties as reasonably required. Personal Attributes and Skills/Experience required: SVQ Social Services and Healthcare at SCQF level 9. SVQ Care Services Leadership and Management at SCQF level 10. Qualifications that will be considered: SVQ 4 Health and Social Care. SVQ 4 Care. SVQ 4 Management. SVQ 4 Leadership and Management for Care Services. SVQ 4 Registered Manger in Health and Social Care (RMA) Previous managerial experience (at least 2years) Evidence of working with vulnerable groups. Working knowledge of Health and Social Care Standards. Experience of working within a Supported Accommodation or Peripatetic Support service role. Experience of coordinating and managing provision to vulnerable groups. Working knowledge of personalisation, person centred planning and self directed support. Ability to manage personal and staff team workloads. Ability to compile and support other to write outcome based support plans IT Skills. Ability to manage staff rota system. Excellent communication skills. Ability to work under pressure and prioritise workload. Understanding of PBS planning and Active Support General Intelligence would be desirable. A good all round understanding of the challenges and opportunities for people with learning disabilities living in Glasgow. A history of commitment in the support of others. Open, honest individual with a positive attitude toward equality and inclusion of all individuals .
