We are currently looking for an experienced Children’s Home Manager to manage a 4 bedded home for young people who may display challenging and disruptive behaviours, emotional and social difficulties. Working within a supportive environment you will be part of a team dedicated to raising young people’s aspirations and achievements.
As the Manager you will be registered with OFSTED and be accountable for delivering high quality care to the children and young people that reside within the home. You will be responsible for the management and the successful day to day running of the home whilst directing a team of qualified professionals, as well as focusing on continuous strategic planning for developments within the home. You will have the overall responsibility for the day to day running of your home and will be responsible for:
Gaining successful registration with OFSTED
Ensuring the highest quality of care
Ensuring that all current legislation is met
Developing and maintaining key relationships with children, staff, parents and professionals
Evidencing the management and development of your staff team
Developing your home on an ongoing basis
The post holder may be reasonably expected to undertake other duties commensurate with the level of responsibility and experience.
As the successful applicant you will have:
Proven experience of management at a senior level within a residential setting
An excellent working knowledge of the new Ofsted Regulations
NVQ 4 or a Level 5 in leadership for health and social care or equivalent
An ability to interact with a range of people/young people
An ability to lead a team and to work as part of a team
To be able to provide consistency of care and support to the young people
A full UK driving licence
