We are on the look out for a passionate staff nurse to take on an exciting new permanent role in an award winning and recently refurbished care home based in Northumberland.
The home is in a beautiful location surrounded by landscaped gardens, creating a relaxed environment for its residents. It provides 24/7 nursing care and personal support to the elderly, people with long term illnesses and people with disabilities.
As a staff nurse working at this care home you will be responsible for looking after the physical, psychological and social needs of the well respected resistant's living their, helping deliver the quality of care they deserve. You will also deliver personalised care to the residents by care planning through assessments and working closely with family and friends to ensure the best possible standards of care are met. You will also be responsible for administering medication and alerting senior management, GPs, hospitals if there is a change to one of the resident's health or you are concerned about anything.
This is a permanent role and the successful staff nurse can expect to work full time completing 33 hours per week, which can be worked on a flexible basis, with a variation of shift patterns. With a generous pay rates!!!
As a staff nurse you will be responsible for:
- Administering medication to residents within the required time scales
- Changing dressings/ assisting care assistants
- Completing daily observations/notes
- Updating care plans
- Using the unit's system to record data and manage appointments for residents
To be successful in this role you must demonstrate:
- An understanding of the role required from a Nurse in a home environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to work well as part of a team and take the lead when needed.
The minimum requirements for this role are:
- NMC registered
- Registered General Nurse (RGN)
