We are recruiting for 2 x FULL TIME, Permanent Registered General Nurse positions to work in a privately owned purpose built centre providing rehabilitation and permanent residence to those with Acquired Brain Injury and Degenerative Neurological Disorder.

•           1st Position is Day Nurse

•           2nd Position is Night Nurse

Contracted 37.5 hours per week, along with enhancements for unsociable hours (flexible working arrangements maybe considered):

•           30% Nights and Saturdays

•           50% Sundays

•           100% Bank holidays

Responsibilities for Registered General Nurse:

•           Experience of working with ventilated or tracheostomy patients or a desire to develop these skills

•           Taking a lead and delivering clinical care

•           Providing guidance and support to the skilled support team and working in collaboration with the therapist team to provide a holistic style of care

•           To participate and complete reports for residents review meetings

•           Update care plans and risk assessments

•           Assist with staff supervisions and annual appraisals including development plans

•           Able to liaise effectively with the nursing team, GP's, Pharmacy, funders, families and support services

•           Be expected to take charge of the unit when no Senior managers are not on site

•           Offering palliative care to residence and supporting families with bereavement

Requirements for the Registered General Nurse:

•           Registered nursing qualification or equivalent

•           Registered with the NMC

•           Sound written and verbal communication skills

•           Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
