Our client is looking for qualified candidates who will be an asset to their nursing team and promote an atmosphere which enables residents to live as independently as possible.

Salary: £16 Per Hour (£29,995 per year)
Our client is a 53 bedded home housing two separate units: Elderly Frail Nursing Unit and Intermediate Care Unit. Both units have their own spacious lounges and sitting areas, kitchen facilities and en suite bedrooms. The Nursing unit is 31 bedded providing Nursing care, Residential care and Palliative/Continuing Care for Service Users who have complex medical conditions. The Intermediate Care Unit is now 22 bedded. The staff work alongside the Social Workers, Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists from the local Intermediate Care Team to provide care for Service Users who are requiring rehabilitation before returning to live safely at home
Responsible for ensuring the highest standards of person centred care are being delivered at all times by undertaking accurate assessment and planning of care, delivery and ongoing evaluation of the care plans. Observing and carrying out appropriate hand-overs to ensure the detail and accuracy of service user information being provided
Carry out nursing tasks including distribution of medication, dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding and management of chronic medical conditions.
Provide support and guidance to all staff, providing demonstrations and instructions of care activities.
Understand personal responsibilities in relation to the Health and Safety at Work Act and fire safety and evacuation procedures, demonstrating a working knowledge of COSHH assessments applicable in your area of work.

Update DBS check / willing to undergo a DBS check
Ideally minimum of 6 months experience in a Nursing/Care Home BUT not essential
