Orchard at the Heart of the Community
Orchard Care Homes has been running and managing care homes across the UK for over a decade. Our mission: To be the positive choice for residents, their families and friends, healthcare professionals and staff.
Our person-centred approach to care relies on the dedication and passion of our Nurses, who we expect to go the extra mile to improve the home experience and generate a relaxed and informal community within our homes.
What you’ll be doing
Formulating and implementing individual nursing care plans, you will demonstrate a caring disposition towards others and supervise the delivery of nursing care. Utilising your excellent interpersonal skills and ability to provide guidance from a supervisory capacity, you’ll be tasked with assessing, planning and delivering personalised care that ensures everyone is treated with dignity and that individual’s rights to privacy, independence and choice are met.
Dispensing and administering medication as prescribed, you’ll accurately maintain appropriate records in line with legislative guidelines and will carry out stock control (including ordering prescribed medication and medical products for the home).
You will identify caring team training needs and will maintain UKCC professional registration; acting as a resource of information on UKCC codes including professional conduct, scope of professional practice, standards of administration of medicine, standards of records and record keeping and exercise accountability.
