Part time - with a view to moving to Full time in the medium to long term future

To implement a Regional 'Cluster’ delivery approach to Training within Consensus (Specialist Services Division). To provide a consistent delivery approach with regards to all operational aspects of Mandatory Induction Training for Qualified, Care / Support and Ancillary Colleagues.

Key Accountabilities

  • Ensure all new Qualified, Care / Support and Ancillary Colleagues are shown a consistent approach to the Consensus Induction template

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive, cost effective and sustainable Mandatory Induction Training template, which provides Care, Support and Ancillary colleagues with all elements of the Care Certificate

  • Collaboratively work with the Central and Operational People Development team to build strong networking relationships

  • Maintain professional conduct at all times

  • Adopt safe working practices in accordance with health & safety guidelines

  • Ensure continuous personal development: including all mandatory, Home/Service Specific 'train the trainer’ updates are kept up to date and qualifications are certified at all times

Key Operational Requirements:

  • Deliver all elements of the Cluster Training template were appropriate

  • Please note this role will initially be 3 days with a possibility of moving to full time over the next 12 months currently Wednesday Thursday and Friday

  • Co-ordinate joining instructions/cancellations for all colleagues within each Home/Service in the catchment area

  • The maintenance of good interpersonal relationships with Regional Operations and Home/Service Managers and Colleagues

  • Ability to communicate confidently and build collaborative, effective working relationships with the Operational and People Development team members

  • Demonstrate flexibility and an ability to adapt quickly to changing plans and timescales

  • Participate in all meetings as directed by your Line Manager

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum NVQ4 qualified in learning and development or relevant professional qualified such as Certificate in Training Practice, ILM level 2 etc.

  • Excellent presenter with great facilitation and training delivery skills and be comfortable working field based in Regional Cluster locations as required

  • Commercially aware demonstrating a thorough understanding of the Adult Social Care/Learning Disability regulatory requirements in regards to training and delivery

  • Able to influence to deliver training solutions based on an understanding of the regulatory landscape

  • Effective coaching skills, with the ability to give feedback on both regulatory training and people development matters

  • Have knowledge of learning and development theory and the application of different models

  • IT literate, with a working understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook applications
