Our client is a global designer, supplier and O&M provider of Wind Turbines and is looking to bring on a regional team leader in to service and maintain their Wind farms in Italy, paying a competitive salary. This is an exciting opportunity for aspiring Regional Team Leaders to represent this global OEM in one of their emerging markets not only on site, but also in their control room; you are responsible for the service and maintenance of the wind turbines and supporting the Operations department.

General description
The regional Team Leader is a Field Technician with extra responsibilities in the region and leads a team of employees, communicates company goals, safety practices, and deadlines to team. Motivates team members and assesses performance. Provides help to management, including hiring and training, and keeps management updated on team performance. Communicates concerns and policies among management and team members.

Service Technician duties and responsibilities:

* Your main goal will be to perform all activities related to the commissioning, maintenance and repair of the wind turbines in the Greece.
* This contains physically demanding labour as you will be frequently climbing our turbines (75 m) and performing tasks that require force.
* You are responsible for the checking and quality of all components as well as recognizing interconnections within the system's architecture.
* Responsible for maintaining customer contact on site to update them on the status of activities.
* Accountable for the safe and effective operation of all kinds of electronic and mechanical parts in the turbines.
* Continuously improving the performance of the wind turbines based on the error/gap analysis, response times and Operational Data statistics.
* You will also on occasion work on tasks with the control room, remote monitoring turbines worldwide
* You are prepared to travel occasionally to other locations and work stand by in weekends and evenings.

Extra Responsibilities as a Team Leader:

  • Provide encouragement to team members, including effectively communicating team goals and identifying areas for improvement or new training.
  • Support Service Planner with scheduling Corrective/Preventive maintenance in the region.
  • Support the service manager to manages service van stock by regular stock counts of the van in the region.
  • Regular review of H&S documentation/ procedures and support implementation.
  • Delivery of quality customer service, including interacting with customers, answering customer enquiries, and effectively handling customer complaints.
  • Adhering to and monitoring EWT Health & Safety Policy within the Region.
    Assist with tool Calibration and PPE inspection coordination.
  • Responsible for monitoring vehicle standards and ensuring vehicle inspections are completed.
  • Conducts team meetings to update members on best practices and continuing expectations
  • Assists management with hiring processes and new team member training
  • Adhering to and monitoring EWT Health & Safety Policy within the Region.
