The Company

My client is looking to recruit a North East based Regional Sales Manager to help meet their customer acquisition and revenue growth targets by keeping company competitive and innovative. The candidate will be responsible for maximizing the sales of the business, by marketing to customers within the retail sector such as Hotel chains, Leisure facilities, Shopping Centres and Property Agents. The candidate will be responsible for securing and maintaining customer accounts within this sector and will create sales plans, justifying them to the Management team.

Responsibilities:

  • Design & Implement strategic sales plans to expand the company’s customer base and ensure it has a strong presence
  • Achieve sales within the business ensuring client portfolio grows and develops
  • Establishing, maintaining and expanding customer base
  • Support the business in meeting customer acquisition, ensuring the company is competitive and innovative
  • Increasing business opportunities through various routes to market
  • Own objective setting, coaching and performance monitoring of sales representatives
  • Build and promote strong, long lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs. Creating bespoke package to suit customers’ needs
  • Present sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic achievable forecasts to the Management team
  • Developing business plans and sales strategies
  • Compiling and analysing sales figures
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status
  • Cold calling and visiting customers selling services and products
  • Liaising with other departments within the business
  • Networking with other companies within the industry
  • Chasing leads and following up on opportunities to generate sales
  • Arrange and attend industry conferences and events
  • Collaborating with senior executives to establish and execute a sales goal for the region
  • Forecasting annual, quarterly and monthly sales goals
  • Developing specific plans to ensure growth both long and short-term
  • Reviewing regional expenses and recommending improvements

Requirements:

  • Proven working experience in Sales Management within the retail, property and leisure sector
  • Strong links and connections within the retail, property and leisure sector and understanding of the company’s target market
  • Proven track record of generating and maintaining sales within a business
  • Proven track record of target setting and achievement
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong ability to work under pressure and ability to work off plan, always having several plans in place
  • Experience of maintaining and increasing sales of company’s products
  • Solid organisational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Committed to continuous education through workshops, seminars and conferences
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate. Present and influence credibility and effectively at all levels of the organisation
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from a plan to close
  • Excellent people’s management skills
  • The candidate must be able to start required tasks immediately upon successful completion of induction
  • The candidate must be extremely pro-active and use their own initiative to carry out role

Benefits - Access to Company Vehicle, company mobile telephone, laptop and fuel card

Hours of Work - Monday-Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm (This will be subject to workload and may involve elements of travel - Flexibility around working hours is desirable)

Holidays - 28 days including bank holidays
