Regional Sales Manager

The role of the Regional Sales Manager is to drive high margin revenue from sales of functional films across the Region into existing customers and new direct end user customers.

Furthermore, the Regional Sales Manager will:

  • Deliver or exceed monthly and annual sales revenue, tonnage, and contribution margin budgets for the specific targeted products

  • Manage and maintain a robust pipeline process through active prospecting with focus on major volume users in direct end use markets

  • Maintain accurate, comprehensive and real time Pipeline & Forecast records in SharePoint as required by the Sales Director

  • Employ a cross-functional approach with key staff where required to maximise success rate with new opportunities

  • Stay informed about market opportunities and developments to help leverage competitive advantage, and feedback market intelligence on a regular basis

  • Work with the Sales Director, Sales Manager and Commercial Excellence team to ensure that contracts are commercially rigorous

  • Identify and respond to all tendering opportunities related to target opportunities

  • Ensure that selling costs are contained in line with performance and budget

  • Ensure that weekly and monthly sales and margin forecasts are submitted accurately and on time

  • Deliver regular feedback regarding market forces and competitor activities

  • Cross-fertilise specialist product knowledge to colleagues in the rest of the sales team, track and deliver to targets as appropriate and agreed

Skills/Experience/Job Requirements

  • Deep understanding of business development processes and evidence of robust adherence to these

  • Provable selling skills, and ability to close complex long terms deals

  • Value selling and solution selling skills, and strong evidence of negotiation skills

  • Solid understanding of technical films and the addressable market

  • Ability to interact effectively at multi-levels

  • Understanding of value chains

  • Strong presentation skills

  • MS Office skills with a high level of numeracy and Excel skills

  • Strong understanding of general business drivers

  • Must be fully mobile and expect to spend minimally 50% of the time on the road
