An experienced, office-based Regional Sales Manager is sought by a leading provider of security solutions to provide regional sales management of the company`s products and services to trade customers and partners (resellers / distributors) and feedback of market trends, customer feedback, forecasting and information to the company within the territory of South of England, Europe & Commonwealth of Independent states (CIS) e.g. Russia, Spain, Portugal, France, Germany, Poland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria, Czech Republic, Italy, Croatia, Greece.

The Role:

Reporting to the Operations Director, the Regional sales Manager will provide sales against set targets for particular regions. Duties will include:

  • Actively approach all existing or potential trade customers within the territory
  • Demonstrate company products at the offices, customer offices or at existing installations
  • Create and deliver customer presentations as required
  • Ensure all trade customers and or partners sales teams are aware of our product portfolio features, benefits and current pricing
  • Develop new routes to market for the existing product range and identify new opportunities for product 'progressions' into new or related markets
  • Look after all the customer requirements with relation to the relevant product ranges in the territory
  • Provide and control all quotations relating to the territory
  • Maintain and develop key accounts
  • Assist with all relevant company exhibitions
  • Provide technical sales training and support for customers
  • Provide site surveys to evaluate requirements and recommend solutions (assisted by technical services team as required)
  • Provide day to day email correspondence for pre and post sales enquiries
  • Provide contract review/order processing as required
  • Provide business development within territory
  • Assist the Operations Director in producing Business Plans and Budgets for the relevant sector
  • Travel to Europe & CIS countries as required with the agreement of the Operations Director

The successful Regional Sales Manager:

  • Project based sales management and negotiating skills
  • Relevant previous sales experience and achievement
  • Previous experience of selling within the security industry
  • A technical background would be advantageous
  • Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality
  • Excellent computer literacy skills using Microsoft Office programmes
  • Presentation skills
  • Literate and numerate
  • Educational background within Business/ Marketing disciplines to degree level
  • Ability to travel within European and CIS countries
  • Authorised to work in the United Kingdom
  • Languages - French and / or German
  • Security market sector e.g. Entrance Control / Access Control / CCTV
  • Educated in relevant technical or commercial discipline to degree level
  • Demonstrate good initiative, is adaptive, and has a willingness to learn
  • Suitable character trait for sales development role
  • A smart well presented, professional and proactive person
  • Ability to work productively with others
  • Ability to resolve problems

Benefits package:

  • £35,000 - £40,000 salary
  • Up to 1.5% commission on sales from price list (other rates apply for bespoke product and technical services)
