This is a rare opportunity to join Schur Star Systems, a Division of Schur International, where innovation and tradition goes hand in hand. The Schur business, which remains family owned, was established in 1846, and is one of Denmark’s oldest packaging businesses.
Schur Star Systems offers a unique concept consisting of the Schur Star packaging machine, and laminated, barrier, Schur Star bags, offering customers improved operational excellence, increased marketing opportunities and profit improvement.
Operating out of Germany, US and Australia, Schur Star Systems supplies a diverse range of customers in food, industrial, medical & healthcare sectors, with a growing sales portfolio in the UK. Reporting to the Sales Director, the Regional Sales Executive will take a 'solution sales’ approach to business development, as well as managing the growth of a small portfolio of existing accounts.
Your broad remit will include:
- Achievement of profitable business growth through new business development and organic growth, identifying opportunities for technical development and new projects across the South of England, and potentially Ireland.
- Development of strong multi-functional relationships, both internally, and with customers, to ensure customer expectations are exceeded.
- Provision of effective, innovative, technical solutions to customer problems, working closely with the Schur Star technical teams.
- Identifying and developing new, long term, business opportunities, identifying areas for innovation, where other types of packaging can be replaced with flexible packaging.
Candidates must have a proven Sales/Technical Sales/Business Development background, ideally gained with a manufacturer or supplier of printed flexible films, or another technically sophisticated packaging product. Candidates from other sectors focused on concept/added value sales will also be considered.
Commercial and financial acumen is also required, along with strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to network and develop relationships at all levels.
