The NHS Long-Term Plan calls for a step change in advancing practice requiring capacity to be built at national, regional and sub-regional level, e.g. in Sustainability and Transformation Partnerships (STPs)/Integrated Care Systems (ICSs) or ‘faculties’ to drive change.

With HEE’s National Centre at the hub, the concept of a ‘Faculty’ at both regional and sub-regional level is a virtual ‘hub and spoke’ model; based on strong co-production, co-ordination and extensive stakeholder engagement on all matters relating to advancing practice.

The postholder must be able to demonstrate the ability to function competently both as a leader and member of the Advancing Practice team and must understand and enable the role and contribution of other team members.
The postholder will report to the Regional Faculty Lead for Advancing Practice.
The post will be based in one of HEE's Midlands regional office (Westbridge Place, Leicester or St Chads Court, Birmingham), and under normal circumstances will require frequent travel throughout the region and sometimes nationally.
