Regional PPIS Specialist - Europe Explosives

CSG Talent's Explosives, Drill and Blast team are currently working exclusively with one the leading Mining and Civil Explosives businesses to support their attraction of a key senior role in the European organisation. The position is a Regional Product Process Implementation Specialist for the European area and is effectively the key subject matter expert level position for the business on all explosive products, with broad responsibility for ensuring the facilitation of best practice for all bulk and packaged explosive product activities across the European region.

The position is primarily responsible for assisting with new product technology transfer to the business, supporting the initial supervision and training for internal staff as new products are developed and disseminated to the wider business. This will include demonstrations and field implementations across the region. Another key aspect of this role is ensuring the dissemination of best proactive technical standards across the region, including providing rapid response support to any product or process issues and to implement preventative measures where necessary. This position also ensures regional knowledge and expertise in products and processes is maintained and improved where necessary, will be heavily involved in design reviews and hazard studies to ensure compliance with SHEC and quality standards and will also participate in BOS and quality audits for all plants in the region.

This positions requires a high level of practical and theoretical technical knowledge on all explosives products from bulk and packaged explosives through to initiation systems and ground support systems. We are looking for an individual who can bring a subject matter expert level of knowledge to bear against the position as this role is the go to technical person for major issues across the region. As such we are looking for at least 15 years of experience in the civil and mining explosives sector within operations or product and process implementation, this experience is essential to the position. Alongside this a deep understanding of european explosives legislation and a Chemical engineering or similar background would be very useful.
